The record collection is where you insert all the forms linked with sound files that Gate Radio will be able to Broadcast. Those are divided in four collections: Music, Jingles, Others and Hour pips.
Music: To add one or more forms previously created with Gate Edit follow these steps: Click on the New menu, then, on the File Button. The file selector appears. Once you have selected the or the files you click the OK button. The file selector disappears, you came back to the record collection. Add all the selected forms to the collection with the Add menu and define the broadcasting frequency. To do so you may define the broadcastings per day or the broadcastings per week, though, in both cases, you'll have to tell the fewest time between two broadcastings (in minutes) to Gate Radio. The time between two songs of the same artist is defined by the request time, as in a request the same artist can only be broadcasted one time, that's why you should always write the same artist in same way. When done, define the out point for each song. You can also rename a set of songs with Gateutil.exe . To add a new style to your record collection just type it out in the style combo box and press enter a dialog box asking if you want to add this style to the style's list appears. To delete a style from the list select in the combo box and then delete it pressing the del Key To quickly find a song you can use the Search menu, a list with all the record collection appears, you can also print this list. The option menu is only available when Gate Radio is not broadcasting. |

You can add jingles in the following way: click on the
New menu and then on the File button. Next, choose one or more audio files and
then click on the Add menu. Each jingle form must be documented on the drawn
field – Check the check box ‘Authorize on print’ if it’s an off voice jingle.
You also can link a jingle with a song from the record collection. This can be
done be selecting the jingle you want, then, use the search menu to get the song
you want to link and then replace the jingle form to save your work. It’s enough
to precise, if the jingle should be authorized on print during the intro or
before the song. If there is no intro, it will be placed at the end of the song. |
This collection works like the others, the only difference is that these sound files aren't used in automatic broadcasting mode. It's an amount of sound files that are always available to the host that should be placed in the broadcasting list during the broadcasting time. We can also activate these sound files to one of the 9 associated keys while printing the audio file. |
Hour pips: to insert a file on a
specific line, just double click on the grid of the Sound File column and
then choose your file. If the hour pip is muted, you can play the file while
printing, therefore, set the on-print field to true. In this case the music
level will be lowered according to the defined value in the preferences and
the hour pip level will be the music on print. The music level will be
restored to the original settings at the end of the Hour pip. If the On
Print field is set to false then the music will be stopped with a fade in
order to broadcast the hour pip, then, a new song will be played to continue
the broadcast. M T W T F S S = transition authorization for the days of the week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday… |
