Audio:

This is where you can assign audio outputs for listening and PFL

You also set up the buffers. The buffers are the amount of information stored in  the RAM. These are used to prevent sound cuts when the computer is a little busy. By default, they are set to 4096 in size and to a 100 in number which means that all the sound is loaded 2 seconds before being broadcasted. This is also the time required by your computer to link two songs when it is asked by a host in direct live mode ( Stop button under the clock). If you have a very powerful computer you may have less buffers and, as a consequence link songs speedier.

Manage short  jingles isn't used on 3.0 version.

Linking

(All values are expressed in seconds)

Music by default: is not very used as every song should have a customized out point. When a song out point is zero then the real out point will be the one defined here

Spots / News :This is the out point for all the Spots and News -  Hour pips :  out point of all the hour pips that aren't over the music - Jingles :  jingles out point - Fade Out : defines the time the volume needs to get down during a priority

You can also define the jingles number.  As an example : a jingle every 15 min, which means about 4 jingles per hour (Jingles are played between two songs)

Jingle on intro = a voice jingle's minimum length on a song's intro. It's possible to play the jingle at the beginning or at the end of the intro. The song intro should be defined in the song's form.

 Levels

That's where we can define the levels for each category of sound --- Music - Jingle - Voice Track ...

By default = is the sound level of the music (66%)

Under = it's the music's level when a voice  hour pip or a voice track is being broadcasted on-print.

Over = This is the Jingles and the Voice Track sound levels when they are broadcasted over the music.

Spots- by default = spots sound level

Spots / News

Spots having priority : defines if music will be stopped for spots to be played exactly at the defined time or if they will be broadcasted between two songs

It's the same for news

Jingle before set: allows you to link a sound file to the beginning of the spots. You can do the same  for the end of the spots.

If you check the remove forms on campaign end checkbox the software will automatically purge the spots'  forms when the campaign ends. This doesn't delete the audio files

Optimization

Minimum length of the song before the hour pip in % defines when Gate Radio is allowed to stop a song with a fade in order to broadcast an hour pip with the on-print property set as false on time.

Hour end optimization before hour pip: Gate Radio will change the broadcasting order of the songs in order to broadcast the last song of the hour just before the hour pip and to broadcast the hour pip exactly when it is asked to. If hour end optimization is enabled it will be done at Hour + X minutes. Please note during a playlist hour end optimization is automatically disabled. You can also choose to terminate several hour with instrumental.

Nb of titles between 2 songs of the same artist is global value for all song by default. You can adjust private value for several songs only if they must be broadcast many times in a day.

Hour pip offset in seconds allows to begin broadcasting the hour pip some seconds before the beginning of the hour. Here, 54, means that the hour pip for 14:00 will begin at 13h59'54'' in order to have the news after the hour pip if they begin at 14:00.
